Yesterday and today have seen me suddenly so much happier than I’ve been in about a month. I think I’m starting to actually get over my break-up. I haven’t spent my day moping, I have no strong urge to call my ex, and I can actually picture myself in another relationship somewhere down the line. Success at life. Woo.

There must be songs you can put to a TV show’s montage of London that aren’t angry punk tirades about Cold War era politics. Like, something touristy which doesn’t embarrass the memory of Joe Strummer. You could pick anyone from Lily Allen to The Kinks to The Libertines, there are so many songs about London, why is it always London Calling?

There exist so many romantic movies, why are there not more break-up movies? I know it’s not always such a satisfying narrative arc, but I’m pretty sure you could tell a compelling story where there’s a break-up at the end.
